Ally Bream is an accredited dog trainer operating on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Ally holds her Certificate III in dog training and behaviour through the Austin Education Program and is also a certified puppy class instructor.

Ally’s passion for animal behaviour began whilst she was working as a vet nursing at Allambie Vet clinic where she has worked for the past 11 years and is the head veterinary nurse. She was seeing an alarming number of dogs with anxiety issues, behavioural problems and dogs that were poorly trained, not just at the vet clinic, but out in public as well. This made the dog’s visit inside the vet clinic a stressful, scary place due to their underlying issues instead of a place where they have the skills and the coping mechanisms to handle the unknown of a vet clinic.

Ally saw this as her mission to start educating people about dog behaviour and body language at the vet and how best to handle bringing their pets into a situation that they may not be too comfortable with. Fast forward a few years and this is where and why Spot On Dog Training was born!

Ally’s goal is to provide owners with a high level of care and compassion when working with their family pets and to educate them on the positive training methods that are proven to succeed when dealing with behaviours that owners wish to improve. Ally’s training methods are reward based and involve fun games, easy to learn behaviours for both the owner and dog and a load of mental enrichment and stimulation!

Ally remains working at Allambie Vet Clinic full time, teaches three puppy classes a week, runs adolescence classes and provides in-home puppy consults and behaviour consults.

Ally also has her own fur family to keep her on her toes. She has two rescue cats both adopted from Allambie Vet Clinic, Betty and Django. She has a 10 year old mastiff X called Luka that she adopted in 2019, is the sweetest angel and has stolen Ally’s heart. Ally also has four chickens that she attempts to train in her spare time!
